Once again the Company turned out in force to the annual awards fest that is the Glamorgan Drama League's Glammies Awards Night, held once again at the Barry Memo Hall, on 14 May 2005.

Before the awards got going, there were performances from TicToc Theatre Company, and Aberdare's Showcase Theatre, previewing their forthcoming West Side Story.  But then Unknown took to the stage and, performing extracts from Nell's Belles and our forthcoming Dance of the Dragon production, took the show by storm!

Nell's Belles was the only Unknown show being considered for awards this year, but we weren't short of nominations.  David Sheehan, who played King Charles II was nominated for Best Actor in a Youth Musical, Melissa Moore and Hannah Murphy were both nominated for Best Actress; the show was nominated for Best Presentation of a Youth Musical and for Best Youth Production.

And we didn't go home empty-handed!  David, who performed one of his wonderful numbers from the show during the entertainment at the beginning of the evening, won the Best Actor award, and the show itself won the Best Production Award.

We were all very proud.
